As you can see from one of my previous blog posts we really like the idea of having four seperate images. We found this in our research into adverts for band albums already. But we also found a image when we shot the footage which we are using in our digipak the first image above really helped us develop our ideas further. The images above are ones that have been taken on our location scout we took lots of images just incase they came in useful which they have. The four chosen images which link to the music video we have created and also fit well with each other. They follow the nature theme that we have been following throught this project which helps us as a group follow the norms for the indie pop genre of music. We really like the ideas of the postcard and the oval image in the middle of it. It's very effective and the composition of the images really works well, we will adapt this idea to make it unique and are own.
Above is a picture of the ideas above combibed together. I think this would be a successful advert for an album cover it's original and does not divert away from what we have been trying to portray throghout our music video. It would need some more work to do it which we will be developing in our upcoming lessons. The images used are landscape to make the advert seem more cosy and not empty which would add a cold feel to the advert. The surrounding image are black and white as we needed the central image to stand out on them as that's the main image which creates a link between the album and the music video. The idea of having black and white images and then a colour image really works well as it again fits in with the black and white and colour effect we have used throughout our video. This idea for the advert is very iconic and eye catching however when making the final product we will need to ensure that the colour image is leathered or blended so it doesn't seem like we have just added a photo on the top. It needs to look like the image is supposed to be there which will make the advert look more realistic. We also need to ensure that the typography is the same for the artist name and band name as this is what will be our logo for the artist.
